You are only as good as your last work. Say ‘I don’t know’ when you don’t know. Be afraid of mediocrity. Choose the right font. If you don’t like something about yourself, change it. Time compounds, so use it wisely. Don’t judge. Life is too short for doing everything. Prioritize. Every skill you acquire doubles your odds of success. Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don’t. Admit when you’re wrong. Trust people. Underpromise, overdeliver. People over money, experiences over things. Work your ass off and then advertise. Say “No” to people, obligations, requests, and opportunities you’re not interested in from now on. And say it gracefully. Decide what’s important to you. Always have a side project. Stop complaining, start fixing. Don’t worry about what everyone thinks, just the people you respect. Talent is not enough if you don’t know how to ask for what you want. Do it now, because in ten years you’ll still be thinking about it. What other people do, feel, and think, has nothing to do with you. You’re as busy as you want to be. If you want something, just ask. The worst thing anyone can say in response is no. Think big, remain humble. Everyone is making it up as they go along. Failing doesn’t mean you are a failure. Sacrifice laziness for happiness. Attend to the beauty in small things. Meet old friends and family. Make new friends. Keep doing things you have never done before. People never really act against you, they’re just looking out for the best outcome for themselves. Pick dreams that scare you. Stop bragging. Don’t let other people tell you what you can’t do. Consistency is more important than talent. Learn — from success and even more from failure. Always solve hard problems. Life is too short to work just for the money. Enjoy the journey. Someone else is happy with less than what you have — appreciate. Advice is just people talking to past versions of themselves.
