The Makeup Box is a Calicut based bridal makeover brand, led by Fidha Jafer, a self-taught makeup artist. The brand had quickly grown in its popularity and 2019 marked a new phase by opening its first luxury makeup studio and hairstyling salon.
With a desire to express this milestone, its diversification and a well-respected position within the industry, The Makeup Box approached us to develop a new visual identity system that would reach across every touchpoint including business cards, stationery, signage, and online presence.

The makeup box started out very small, with Fidha Jafer single-handedly taking care of every aspect of the business.
It was her passion and enthusiasm that drove the growth of the company, and we thought it would be only appropriate to use the initials of her name to form a logo.
The logo is abstract enough to stand alone on its own.
We decided to discard the tree icon, as several competitors were using trees or leaves as elements in their logo. We went with an abstract symbol derived from the name of the brand.
The new icon is a combined representation of two parts of the name.
Chateau→Castle→Crown
Woods→Stylized W
