A Luxury Escape

Chateau Woods is a small boutique resort in Wayanad. It was the winner of the Travellers Choice award 2014, Rated No.1 Resort/Hotel in Wayanad and #8 small/boutique hotel in India. 

Despite their reputation, there has been a steady decline in visitors in the recent past. Their previous identity wasn’t matching to the premium service they offered and felt generic for a boutique luxury resort. The team decided to have their identity design completely revamped to bring about a more luxurious look.

We decided to discard the tree icon, as several competitors were using trees or leaves as elements in their logo. We went with an abstract symbol derived from the name of the brand.

The new icon is a combined representation of two parts of the name.

The Identity refresh yielded a very successful result, with their occupancy rate almost doubling within three months of the redesign.

Website

The website was completely redesigned from the ground up. The previous website was cluttered with unappealing photos and too many widgets. Unnecessary elements were removed and the website is made simpler with a clear call to action. The result being online bookings almost doubling.

We used Wix to build the website, as the client required to update the content regularly and they did not have an in-house developer.
